My favorite ice cream flavor growing up was Mint Chocolate Chip. These days, I'm not a big ice cream eater, but you can bet your bottom dollar that I still enjoy mint chocolate chip treats! This morning I had dessert for brekkie with this Mint Chocolate Chip smoothie.

This smoothie may taste like dessert, but it is full of healthy fats and protein that will keep your blood sugar balanced, which will keep your hormones happy and your energy levels high.

Mint Chocolate Chip Smoothie Recipe:

  • 1 1/2 cup dairy free milk (I used coconut milk)

  • 2 tbs flax seeds

  • 1 frozen banana

  • 1/2 avocado

  • 1/2 tsp of spirulina or chlorella powder

  • 1 scoop Paleo Valley bone vanilla whey + colostrum protein powder (click here for 15% off)

  • pinch of cinnamon

  • 3-4 ice cubes

  • 1 drop peppermint oil (make sure you’re getting high quality)

  • 1 tablespoon raw honey

  • 1 tbs. raw cacao

  • Blend and top with dark chocolate if desired.
